We took the trail to Drift Creek Falls today which is inland a little from Lincoln City, Oregon, in the Siuslaw National Forest. Our granddaughter is visiting and we wanted to her to experience a coastal waterfall.
The road inland is well maintained.
The 2-1/2 mile trail is heavily travelled but still managed to feel quiet and peaceful.
There’s a 240 ft high suspension bridge overlooking the falls.
Even though the fall was not at spring peak volume, it was impressive.
On the way home we stopped by Yaquina Lighthouse near Newport. Always lovely, but especially on this windless, sunny day!
