I’ve got two new add-ons to my sewing room.
These suspensions are like having someone stand behind your table and holding the quilt up when you do free motion quilting. I’ve found that gravity is the thing I fight with the most. With these suspensions I was able to better regulate my stitch size and had less needle placement mishaps. (Where you mean to put the needle in one place and it ends up way out of line.)
You need to buy directly from the inventor, Patsy Thompson. I ordered last Friday night and was only given one choice for shipping which was 2 day. I got an email from them within an hour that the suspension would be shipped that night and lo and behold I received it on Monday!!
The other new purchase was The Giant 24″x36″ Sew Steady Portable Table. I purchased on Amazon. The company contacted me via email in a couple of days and wanted to know the make and model of my sewing machine. They custom cut the table to fit your machine and as you can see from this photo it is flush with my machine.
I finished my Christmas Celebration Quilt today except for hand sewing the binding on. YEAH, YEAH AND TRIPLE YEAH!
These are close ups of the Christmas Ornament quilting
When you read about new gadgets online its hard to decide if they will really help, but I feel both the table and the quilt suspensions have been a really good buy.
